| How
Veeder-Root FMS Works and What Benefits it Provides |
| Veeder-Root
FMS is a remote monitoring and data collection service
that connects trained operational technicians to
line and tank monitoring equipment installed at
your sites. Using satellite and modem communications
with Veeder-Root software, these technicians work
around the clock to respond to any alarm events
and generate line and tank tests and compliance
reports. Their labor, plus all the hardware - including
the Veeder-Root gauges, probes and consoles - and
even the equipment maintenance can be included in
one monthly fee. |
| |
Veeder-Root
tank and line monitoring equipment at the gas station
automatically transmits site operating data to FMS
Monitoring Center based on:
* Predetermined schedule
to collect data for compliance
reports.
* On-demand access from
a Veeder-Root technician.
* Optional information available
at site includes
inventory/delivery
data and Business Inventory
Reconciliation
(BIR) reports. |
| |
|
| |
Data
travels by satellite or landline communications
to the FMS Monitoring Center at Veeder-Root headquarters. |
| |
|
| |
Data
is received and reviewed at the FMS Monitoring Center,
where technicians are on duty 24 hours a day, 7
days a week.
Appropriate action is taken, based on the type of
data received, and by customer-specific requirements
as detailed in each customer's FMS agreement. |
| |
|
| |
Veeder-Root
generates printed and/or electronic compliance reports
for each site, and sends them to the specified location(s).
Computer files may optionally be transmitted by
modem or satellite. |
| |
|
| |
Requested
data such as inventory level data, tank and line
status, or BIR reports, is faxed, mailed or uploaded
to the customer. |
| |
|
| |
Alarm
is reviewed, diagnostically confirmed, and acted
upon. Responses can include:
* Informing customer of
low-level tank condition.
* Informing customer of
potentially slow or contained leak.
* Shut down pumps and dispatch
service contractor immediately
for serious leak condition. |
